His wife is named Sara Carbonero Arévalo. She is three years younger than Casillas as she was born on 3 February 1984 in Spain. She studied Journalism as her bachelor' degree and became a Spanish sports journalist.
The couple started dating in 2009; the year Carbonero started her job as a sports presenter & editor for Telecinco. Five years later, their first son was born in January 2014 and later in November 2015, the couple announced they were expecting their second child.
Eventually, Sara Carbonero and Iker Cassillas got married on 20 March 2016 while they welcomed their new baby on 2 June 2016, who was named Lucas.
Unfortunately, in May 2019, Sara revealed she had to undergo surgery to remove a malignant tumor as she was diagnosed with cancer. She continued her treatment with chemotherapy and thankfully, she is currently fine.

The famous PSG star has been on top of the news since he started playing football, as there have been always lots of rumors about him and his career. However, the news about his new girlfriend don’t seem to be fake.
